Bug ID: 129678
Summary: Inability to paste a special character more than once
(after copying it).
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.0.7.3 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: dl.gold at yahoo.com
Description:
In English texts that I am writing, I often quote non-English words, many of
which include a diacritic. I therefore use "Insert - Special Character" often.
Say I need the special character á in each of five Spanish words that I have
quoted.
If I highlight that character after clicking Insert - Special character, I am
allowed to paste it just once, so that I have to return to Special character
four more times to get that character for the other four words that need it.
There is a workaround: I can paste the character once in my file, copy it from
the text of my file, and then paste it as many times as I need it, but it would
be easier if you allowed the character to be re-pastable without the need to
return to Insert - Special Character.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Given above
2.
3.
Actual Results:
The special character is not repastable unless I return to Insert - Special
character
Expected Results:
Explained above
Reproducible: Always
