            Bug ID: 129694
Summary: While editing make word completion suggestions
                    optional
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 6.3.3.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: contestcen at aol.com

As I type, LibreOffice suggests completions to words by popping up a box over
part of the text that I am typing. This is never the word I wanted. I find
this disruptive because 1) it covers part of the text, 2) it interrupts the
rhythm and flow of my typing, 3) I have to interrupt my train of thought in
order to read the suggested word, 4) I have to think about how to get rid of
the popup box, and 5) it sometimes inserts the suggested word and then I have
to delete the unwanted part before I can get back to typing.

I know that I can get rid of the popups by turning off spellcheck, and I
sometimes do that, but then I may miss a legitimate warning about an actual
spelling error.

Please make the individual spelling and grammar checks optional so a user can
check spelling without seeing any popups.
