Reading through the comments here after posting my own request for the feature
(and having it linked to this thread), I see that many other commenters see the
need for it. Some of them stated the need much more eloquently than I. I
understand the need for development to take care of other more important things
first, but I must agree that the implementation of this feature is way overdue.
