@laurens : if you can't provide us the problematic documents due to
confidentiality issues - which we fully understand of course, can you provide
us some information on the structure of the document :

 - page formatting ?
 - number of pages - forced page breaks or natural pagination ?
 - tables; if any, with examples of structure of table ?
 - images : type, format, resolution, anchoring - framed or not ?
 - any legends or numbering for the illustrations ?
 - document, page, heading, font styles used ?
 - automatic spellchecking - langpacks ?
