            Bug ID: 122872
Summary: Scale intervals for date axis
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Chart
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: iobaladi at gmail.com

Description:
If date data is used for X axis you can use the chart type "XY (Scatter)" to
show properly te scale. The problem is the scale intervals is too generic. If
you use date data usually you do not want a regular interval in numerical sense
but "date sense". What I want to say that you need intervals as weeks, months
and years (even half-month). The week option is easy becouse you can set the
interval in seven days, but if you set 30 days as interval the scale does not
fit in months interval (or 15 days for begin, mid and end of month). The same
for the years.
So, when the axis is set as date axis should appear the appropiate options for
time scales as days, months and years.
Thanks

Actual Results:
It is not possible to choose an appropriate time intervals now for date axis

Expected Results:
When the axis is set as date axis should appear the appropiate options for time
scales as days, months and years

Reproducible: Always
