here 6.2.5.2 built from sources as indicated in comment #14 still doesn't work
on my system:

Version: 6.2.5.2
Build ID: Gentoo official package
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; 
Locale: it-IT (it_IT.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded
