Bug ID: 125621
Summary: Upon downloading Libre Office update (6.2.4.2) this
morning, cannot access it or any of my L.O. files
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.2.4.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: rmmcghee at yahoo.com
Description:
After the download, install & restart steps were completed, tried to access a
calc file but it would not open. Rebooted my system and tried again with the
same outcome. Tried opening a writer file but experienced the same response.
Went to open the Libre Office choice from my software list (lower left corner
Windows icon box Windows 10)and the "Libre Office 6.2 Document Recovery" screen
appeared showing 1 of my files with a status of "not recovered yet", so chose
Start. Received a recovery failed status screen so chose Finish and a screen
with a message appeared ending with "The next time LibreOffice is launched,
your files will be recovered automatically." Chose OK and the crash report
screen appeared, so chose Send crash report and the crash report text box
appeared. Closed the resulting crash report dialog box and a LibreOffice
recent files screen appeared. Clicked on the file and a "Read Error
Format error discovered in the file in sub-document content.xml at
2,531848(row,col)," message appeared. Clicked on another LibreOffice file
(writer this time)and it closed.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on any type of LibreOffice file
2.
3.
Actual Results:
LibreOffice does not start
Expected Results:
Opened the dile
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
OpenGL enabled: Yes
