@Alex, 

Thanks for the info.  I switched all themes to Mint-X with all of the standard
color Mint Green, no specialty color and even the pointer to DMZ-White. 
Rebooted.  Crash still occurs.

In the last few days I have attempted to invoke the New Relation Tool in
different ways and initially invoked the database file in different ways but
all ways crash.  In fact, I am noticing that both dialog drop downs will cause
a crash, not just the right side as I previously reported.  

I appreciate your help.
