To start: I'm going to change the summary.
Currently:
  "FORMATTING: RFE: Ability to link / disable slide layouts <=> slide masters"
Since a slide master is *intended* to provide a layout, that link is
unavoidable. The question is more about type of slide/content: can we make
users clear that slide master A is for title pages, slide master B is for
summaries, slide master C is for text content, slide master D is for pictures
maybe. This depending on the wish of the designer,

So new summary:
  "FORMATTING: How to explain what slide masters are to be used for which type
of slide/content"

Now since bug 62717 is fixed (already some time ago) the designer of the
presentation can easily use the names of the master slides to show that.

So I immediately close as WorksForMe.
