I have been experimenting further with text animation. I have got a good result
using "Fade in" and Duration = 2sec, Character delay = 20%. 

I have the .odp file saved on my laptop - how can I send it to you?

This feature seems to be very flaky; doesn't always work and the timings are
critical, only works with some combinations (haven't the time to try every
option!)

Occasionally I have got it to work with "Appear" by selection another option so
that the Duration box is live and then going back to Appear, but very hit and
miss.

Hope these comments help. I maybe very good at finding problems, but, as I am
not a programmer, no use for finding the solutions.
