I'd suggest to try to get this improved.
If this a LibreOffice-only problem (i.e. it works fine with other GNOME/Gtk
applications like gedit), a separate bug report should be filed here in
Bugzilla IMHO. Otherwise an issue should be reported in GNOME's issue tracker.

I suggest to keep the original scope of this bug report. There is already bug
114484 which seems to be the better place for discussing this.(In reply to Roy

I quickly checked and it defaults to true in my case for LibreOffice 6.2 as
well. Maybe it was explicitly set to false in your case previously?
Can you check what happens if you test with a clean user profile?
