            Bug ID: 123823
Summary: Feature request: Show positioning guide assistance in
                    Draw (UI)
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 6.1.5.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Mac OS X (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Draw
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: laurent.terrosi at gmail.com

Description:
Suggestion: Show (when applying) lines that help the user to visually align or
distribute on the fly his shapes into the canvas while he is moving them.
This is not the already existing "Helplines while moving" feature. Indeed the
latter only extends the shape border lines while the shape is moving. What I'm
asking about here is rather lines that are only displayed when some alignment
characteristics requirements are met.

To visualize what I'm talking about, you can watch the first minute of the
following video: https://support.office.com/en-ie/arti... (it's about Visio)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add some shapes to the canvas
2. Move one shape near the existing ones

Actual Results:
No guide assistance to align your shapes while moving

Expected Results:
Display some distinctive guide lines

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Version: 6.1.5.2
Build ID: 90f8dcf33c87b3705e78202e3df5142b201bd805
CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 10.14.3; UI render: default;
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); Calc: group threaded
