You can give a try to last stable LO version 6.1.5.
Also you can give a try to https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps

Finally, you must know that from LO 6.2.0 (or next major release 6.3.0, I'm not
sure), kde4 will be replaced by kde5.
