I can confirm with Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: 82463bdde75447d45e0cd6ed9ab579e0e51ea912
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; 
not sure if it's bug. There are two items "date" in the menu in version 6.3-
one insert formated date, but looks like standard input and not field; second
insert date field as in 6.0.7
