Thank you for reporting this bug. But use case is not clear to me. I'm, sure
you know that you can replace all in the Find&Replace Dialog. Perhaps also the
extension AltSearch can solve your problem.

If the problem still persists, please give a more detailed step-by-step
instruction about the problem.
