Bug ID: 128108
Summary: 'File > Versions...' and then 'Compare' doesn't
display deleted parts at the right place
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.0.7.3 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: alex.dwd at gmail.com
Description:
I am testing the Version Management tool of LibreOffice Writer (LO version
6.0.3.7) and when comparing the latest version to previous ones, the deletions
are not displayed at the right place in the document but seem to be displayed
at the end only.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. While editing a document, click the menu 'File > Versions...' and then 'Save
New Version'
2. Delete something somewhere before the end of the document
3. Repeat step 1.
4. Compare the latest version with the previous version containing the deleted
part ('File > Versions...' then select the version created at step 1 and click
'Compare'
Actual Results:
The deleted part is displayed at the end of the document in the Track Changes
mode.
Expected Results:
The deleted part should display at the position where it was in the document
before the deletion.
Reproducible: Didn't try
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Please, see the attached 'Version management.odt' document containing a test
example.
