I thought LibreOffice itself was responsible for managing and checking for
updates to LibreOffice extensions. Please correct me if this is supposed to be
handled by the Linux distribution's package manager. As far as I'm aware, the
Flatpak version of LibreOffice can only install extensions through the
application interface.

Currently, LibreOffice's ability to automatically check for updates to itself
is tied to its ability to automatically check for updates to its extensions.
I'm asking for these two update checking mechanisms to be unbundled, so that
Linux users (including Flatpak users) can take advantage of notifications for
extension updates.
