Bug ID: 128299
Summary: LibreOffice Unable to Open .xlsx spreadsheet
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.3.2.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: vaughn.reid at vchc.biz
Description:
LibreOffice appears to fail when trying to open larger xlsx spreadsheets.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download Lenovo "ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, ThinkStation, Ideapad and
Ideacentre Option Compatibility Matrix from here:
https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/accs-guide
For Example, the October 2019 version is here:
https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/options_iso/ocm_october_2019.xlsx
2. Open the downloaded xlsx file with LibreOffice Calc
3. The document will try to open for several minutes. After this time, Calc
will pop up a notification "Warning loading document ocm_october_2019.xlsx: The
data could not be loaded completely because the maximum number of columns per
sheet was exceeded."
Actual Results:
The spreadsheet then loads, but some portions may not have loaded correctly --
at least according to the warning message.
Expected Results:
I expect LibreOffice to open an .xlsx spreadsheet without errors
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
