and newly created master/subsequent documents i cannot confirm it too.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a master document
2. Click "insert" -> "new document"
3. Save the created document
4. Insert an image into the subsequent document
5. Save the created document
6. Update the master

Can you reproduce the problem with newly created master/subsequent documents?
