Bug ID: 127841
Summary: LibreOffice version 6.3.2.2
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.3.2.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: ivan at cyteck.co.uk
Description:
LibreOffice 6.3.2.2 major problems & difficulties on installation on Linux MINT
Tina 19.2. Installation fails due to major dependency problems with multiple
components. I was unable to resolve the missing dependencies & the installation
failed completely. Had to revert to previous version 6.3.1 which was fine.
**Major problems with 6.3.2.2 installation on W10 pro 1903. Bogged the system
down badly & hung on a reboot. Had to revert back to 6.3.1 which was fine.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.normal command line install on Linux MINT installs some components 25%
2.Next fails on dependencies, but offers no fixes
3.Multiple dependencies on multiple modules
Actual Results:
Install fails completely.
Expected Results:
the only viable option was to completely remove all the components of this
version and revert back to previous version 6.3.1
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
On Linux MINT the installer normally checks the database and dependencies.
After which there are usually no dependencies issues & the modules install
smoothly without any errors. I have 42 or 45 files in the whole install
process.
**I'm not a novice user & have installed LibreOffice many times from the Linux
command line. I am very careful to download & install the precise 64bit .DEB
files. And this is the first time I've come across this issue.
