I really believe that the issue is simply that the workbook has ~20-25 sheets.

* 6.2.6-0ubuntu0.16.04.1~lo1 works "relatively fast"
* libreoffice-6.3.1.2-snap1  slugs "enough to notice"

Kindly try to replicate internally; if that proves unfeasible, I can try to
provide an example
