Oh. Nothing in LibreOffice can tell you that: you may use even the oldest
version (3.3) as long as you wish; and even OOo e.g. v.1.3. Of course,
available updates are reported (according to update checking settings), but
they are never mandatory.

Was that some third-party software (like those "helpful system optimizers")?

And then - uninstalling LibreOffice only removes files from Program Files. It
never touches anything in documents or elsewhere. Wasn't that one of MS updates
that is recently known to remove user data from time to time [1]?
