You can try https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps

Also, you can add LO ppa (see
https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/ppa) so you can give a try
to a more recent LO version than 6.0.7 which is quite old.
