Bug ID: 131854
Summary: Feature request for LibreDraw: Allow for Text on
connectors to be objects that can be moved using mouse
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.4.2.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Draw
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: justin.loop at blazetechnology.net
Description:
LibreDraw is an incredibly useful tool; great job developing it. You are truly
rock stars.
The one thing I find that could use some attention is how the text is handled
on connectors. I create a connector, attach it from one object to another,
which produces a curved line. When I attach text to it (meaning I double click
on the connector line and add text, the text shows up in an awkward location.
It would be nice to place the text where ever I would like to. The work around
is obviously to add another text object and move it around... which is fine.
But if I could do this with test already assigned to the connector line, that
would be best. I think many people would appreciate this upgrade.
Thank you for hearing my request.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create Object A
2.Create Object B
3.Click on the Connector icon on the tool bar.
4. Attach the connector from Object A to Object B
5. Make the drawing to where the connector line is curved
6. Double click on the connector line and add test. notice placement of the
text.
Actual Results:
Text is way off of the line.
Expected Results:
Text should be on the line or close by.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Again, thank you for looking into this. Everything else in Draw is AWESOME!
Thank you.
