Document exhibiting missing borders with shadows behavior

Steps to reproduce
1. Add borders with a shadow style to certain words
2. Save and close document
3. Reopen document

Expected Behavior:
Words with borders that have a shadow style retain them.

Current Behavior:
Words that had borders with shadows styles no longer have them.

This isn't a rendering error as exporting the reopened document to PDF leads to
the PDF also not having the borders. I have attached an ODF file that
encounters this problem. The document preview in my file manager Dolphin shows
the borders with a shadow style but, when opening in LibreOffice Writer, the
borders are no longer there.
