Bug ID: 132077
Summary: Keyboard Input in Fields Editing
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.4.2.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: vmux at computhread.com
Description:
In Writer, when typing Control-F2 the Fields window opens. If you used the
DocInformation tab once Writer remembers and opens to the DocInformation tab.
The issue is that the Type options don't have the initial focus to use the
keyboard to navigate the options. You have to click in the Type options 1st to
give it focus. It would be great is the Type options had focus so you can
quickly navigate the options without clicking the Type options 1st.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Control-F2
2. Click DocInformation
3. use the keyboard
Actual Results:
Keyboard input is not processed because the Type option doesn't have focus.
Expected Results:
Keyboard input is accepted immediately to scroll through the options.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
If this bug is fixed it will make keyboard input faster than using the mouse
for working with fields. It's important. Thank you.
