I can't deny. I was search for a starting point for my argument after comment
1.
The visa versa argument - read the wiki - could also be set for the 'link to
the user directory in the safe mode dialog under advanced' You'd really have to
drill down to it... so would need Wiki guidance anyhow.

Going off topic

Part 1
Lets extend the discussion a little. Is there a technical reason to have the
'recover settings wizard/ safe mode wizard only accessible in safe mode? Our
would it work in 'normal mode to'? It would make sense to directly access the
recovery settings wizard from normal mode. Instead using the u-turn going to
safe mode first from Help -> Start in safemode

I'm asking, because there quite some cases (major updates) with unexpected/
explainable crashes; probably caused by a profile corruption. However,
LibreOffice is stable enough to go to Help -> Restart in safe mode. So could in
theory also open the recovery wizard instead.

Part 2
About the save mode recovery wizard. I'm really interested what the targeted
audience for the wizard was In my opinion, way to many choices. The wizard
should make - more or less - the decision for people.

1. Make a backup of the user profile automatically (preventing something get
lost). And make it a little smarter. Do 'overwrite' a backup automatically. X
has a crash, opens safe mode, clicks on 'backup user profile', resets the
extensions (he uses many). Concludes still not working, goes back to the
wizard, clicks backup again (his extension collection gone.. overwritten)
2. I would opt for go back to factory settings (full profile) as a default.
Starting point should be fresh LibreOffice profile.
3. Followed by a list 'except for' the keep the 'advanced' people happy.
The other way around would be of course.. go back to factory settings and
having an option to restore removed elements: extensions, interface
modifications from the backup profile.
4. The 'disable OpenCL/OpenGL' is a fallback. If someone enters the wizard a
second time quickly after the first instance, it should give a hint to disable
OpenCL/OpenGL or something like that.

Alternative approach is ask a lot of questions
- Did you recently update LibreOffice? ->
- Did you upgrade your video-card ->
- Did you recently install a extension ->
- Did you recently modify the dialogs ->

And make a specific choice what to do. With as fallback a profile reset.

There is some room for improvement, IMHO. Except I'm unaware of the history of
the recovery wizard.. so everything has been consider already before..

Back on topic
There would be probably some room in the recovery wizard to add an option for
sending the opengl/skia log.

However not something for the short run.
