Bug ID: 132216
Summary: Number indent inconsistent in calc
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.4.2.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: moisander at gmail.com
Description:
Cells with numbers should be right aligned and indent increase should add space
to right. This works randomly in inconsistent matter and once occur can not be
fixed in any way. Only option is to remove indents from all rows or start
creating the table from empty new document, just to eventually end up to same
problem.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.numbers in cells
2. align right several rows and columns
3. increase indent
Actual Results:
Indent of only part of the cells is increased. This is random and can not be
fixed with any retrial or paste unformated values to cleared area.
Expected Results:
Cells with numbers should be right aligned and indent increase should add space
to right.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Version: 6.4.2.2
Build ID: 1:6.4.2-0ubuntu3
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: fi-FI (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded
This problem is old and have been in place in several earlier libre-office
versions. This formatting option is really important for creating readable
tables. Similar problem occur in MS excel sometimes but there it is consistent
to entire selection area and clearing the formats and reformat always solves
the problem.
I have relatively clean new installation of OS and libre office package
included to os -> resetting the user profile is not relevant. I have default
settings of my distro -> don't know anything about OpenGL choice made. I will
add document I was working with while my personal bug-reporting threshold was
finally exceeded. (copy-paste inconsistency bug I reported is a showstopper for
me)
