When I open up the sample file, I also see the inappropriate borderline.
However, I don't think it is related to the upgrading to the newer LibreOffice
version. 

A table, with some borderlines, copied from calc and paste to the writer page.
After that,  if the user reduces the table size or zoom value,  the borders of
the table become thicker.

Problem is seen in both versions of LibreOffice in MAC OS X
