The behaviour you are describing is certainly not something seen in a normal
LibreOffice installation. You said that the font change is not visible even in
Draw itself. I tested your scenario (text boxes drawn with F2) and there was no
problem with the exported PDF.

I assume you are seeing this with any fresh documents as well and not just a
specific document.

You could try Help - Restart in safe mode and then Continue in safe mode.

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED
WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
