Hi Christian,

re your questions in comment 39 (after I successfully installed the German
language pack (see my comment 38)):

1) mdfind "kMDItemContentType =='com.apple.application-bundle' &&
kMDItemDisplayName == 'LibreOffice.app'"
now returns
/Applications/LibreOffice.app
which is correct

2) does re-running the installer now manage to locate the 7.0 installer?
NO

3) Did you do a full shutdown and reboot in the meantime (as opposed to just a
deep sleep?)
NO

4) mdls /Applications/LibreOffice.app
now returns a lot of meaningful information:
