6.0 is an old branch.
Could you give a try to last stable LO version 6.4.5?

You'll find updated version in LO ppa (see
https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/ppa) but you may also first
upgrade to last LTS Ubuntu.

Have in mind that kde4 isn't supported anymore by LO.
