This bug is confirmed in Writer, and very annoying (my current version is
6.1.5.2, but this is a very old bug)

In Linux, when you select a sentence (for exemple), this sentence is stored is
the primary selection and can be called back, in the same window or in any
other window, with a middle click. No need to use keyboard. Very handy !

In Writer, when you deselect the text, you are not able anymore to paste it
with middle click, it is available only while the selection stay active. Which
is not the standard behavior in linux (any other soft clears the primary
selection only when a new selection is done).

So if I need to create a new line, or begin to type and then call back the text
that was selected, it is not possible anymore, then I remember that LO is buggy
on this point, I have to go back where I was, select again, and make a ctrl-C
to be sure my clipboard will survive. ;-)

Very often, in production tools, I use both clipboards at the same time, (the
ctrl-c one and the middle click one), and in LO this is an acrobatic task.

I wonder if it is easy to fix this, as it is a standard feature of all
graphical interfaces in linux, in this case it would be a great progress !

-------------

I have another bug in the same domain, which equally invalidate the middle
click past, only the beginning of the selection is stored, not the whole
selection, but I guess I have to open a new bug for this part.
