--- Comment #10 from Rafael Lima <rafael.palma.lima at gmail.com> ---
I have been experiencing flickering transitions for a while in my PC, but today
I had an important insight as to what causes it. In summary, it happens only
with the VCL-Gtk version of LibreOffice. The video below shows the flickering
transition bug happening on my PC.

https://youtu.be/ARcPKZhW2lM

The video was made using Ubuntu 20.04 (Gnome 3.36), thus with VCL-Gtk.

I had to format my PC and installed KDE Neon. After that I installed
LibreOffice and took the opportunity to test if the transition bug was still
there. And indeed it was still there... but then I noticed that the LibreOffice
version installed was the VCL-Gtk one, even though I was on a KDE desktop
environment.

Then what I did was uninstall LibreOffice and reinstall it using the
libreoffice-kf5 package. After that, I tested the transition bug and it
disappeared. All was working fine.

In conclusion, I tested LibreOffice using the same PC, the same DE (KDE Plasma
5.19.4), the same packaging source (the LibreOffice PPA), but I only changed
the VCL version from Gtk to Kf5. And it fixed the problem on my computer.
Hence, I believe that this may have something to do with the Gtk implementation
of LibreOffice.

As a side note, the fade animations work well with VCL-Gtk, whereas transitions
are buggy. I'm not sure if this means anything, but I think it is worth
mentioning.
