Summary: Red underline squiggle line hiatus when when
highlighting part of word
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 3.5.7.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: telesto at surfxs.nl
Description:
Red underline squiggle line hiatus when when highlighting part of word
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached file
2. Zoom at 100%-120%
3. Select "tional"
4. Highlight it yellow.. notice the 'underline' changing waves
It also causes shifting moving letters depending in zoom-level between 100-170%
(but no clue if this VCL floating point topic).. so the wave distortion maybe
related to.. or highlighting (and other formatting) is somehow affecting
rendering'
So painting again/calculating starting at starting point of the change. Which
is is in the middle of word in this case.. Should be less noticeable if this
would happen at an empty space.. (space-bar area). This would at minimum mask
the flawed better..
But needs someone with actual knowledge about this kind of thing :P
And yes, this topic kind of the area who cares. But still see it as a
discrepancy with the superb situation
Actual Results:
The is break in the line at left where highlighting starts (but dependent on
zoom level, zoom out and it's more noticeable)
Expected Results:
Don't see any reason for the interruption the waves
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
