            Bug ID: 130506
           Summary: LibreOffice Calc -> Writer 6.3.4.2 copy paste
                    incorrect popup message and distorted format issues
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 6.3.4.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Mac OS X (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: jmar3701tin2 at gmail.com

Description:
(IS IT POSSIBLE TO UPLOAD AN LO FILE THAT CONTAINS IMAGES OF THE PROBLEM?)

Version: 6.3.4.2
Build ID: 60da17e045e08f1793c57c00ba83cdfce946d0aa
CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.15.3; UI render: default; VCL: osx;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

Two issues:

1. Calc object formatting distorted (screenshot 1) in Writer copy (text example
follows).

Began with LO v. 6.3.4.

2. Incorrect popup message requiring a response appears during insertion
operation (see screenshot 2). Only LO Writer and Calc used for create, edit,
and save files.

Began with LO v. 6.3 or earlier.

Screenshot 1: original Calc selection (CANNOT UPLOAD SCREENSHOT?)

Screenshot 2: LO Writer popup message (CANNOT UPLOAD SCREENSHOT?)

Steps that create the problems:

Calc:

1. define selection area cells: AW6 : BD16
2. see screenshot 1 (CANNOT UPLOAD SCREENSHOT?)
3. select copy: CTRL-C
4. Cells are selected: crawling selection border appears

Writer:

1. Page style is “Default Style” with no modifications.
2. Paragraph style is “Default style”
    • Style includes: a) no space (0.00”) before; b) no space (0.00”) after;
and c) the “Don’t add space between...” button is not checked.
    • Style modified to use Palatino and SongTC (Chinese Song, traditional
character) fonts.
3. Dummy text entered is complete lines of “Dummy text. Dummy text.” repeated
from beginning to end of line for three full lines, finalized with a CRLF (hard
return).

Perform insertion using 2 methods: Place cursor at position 1 in line 2 of
dummy text.

Insertion method one

1. Edit → Paste
2. view pop-up message (see screenshot 2) (CANNOT UPLOAD SCREENSHOT?)
3. select “no”
4. results: a) paragraph mark (CRLF) inserted automatically at end of line 1;
b) object anchor placed at position 1 of line 2; c) Calc selection inserted
5. CRLF placed at end of line 1, and no space is inserted between first
paragraph and second paragraph, both of which are “Default Style.” (CANNOT
UPLOAD SCREENSHOT?)
