Well, I did more testing and confirm that this is NOTOURBUG.

To reproduce, you need to add a profile in the Gnome Terminal and put the path
of "soffice" in the Gnome Terminal profile, and set this profile to run the
soffice commant rather than a normal shell.

This bug behaviour does not happen when start soffice from a normal terminal
shell, or from the system application .desktop entry.
