Restarted LibreOffice in safe mode. Created new .ods and new .odt files. 
Entered information into Calc cells.  Applied bold and border formatting.
Selected cells. Copied selected cells to Writer using 2 methods:

1.  Edit → Paste special --> Paste Special → LibreOffice 6.3 Spreadsheet → OK.

and 

2. Ctrl-v (Mac OSX Cmd-V).

Results:

1. The format problem replicated using both methods.

and 

2. The popup LO information message described in report 157726 "This file was
created in a different version..." that appears in not-safe mode
_did_not_appear_ in safe mode.

Cannot submit files created for this safe mode test; attempted to save both
files.  No LO dialog requesting name & location appeared.  Used Mac OS HD
search utility to locate folder to which these files saved.  No results. 
Assume files either a) not saved, or b) saved using file names not assigned by
the user and therefore unknown.
