Summary: Formatted Field bug LibreOffice Calc (Field formatted
as Date, entry shows up as a fraction for specific
date
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.2.8.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org

Description:
LibreOffice Calc Version: 6.2.8.2 (x64)Build ID:
82ddfca21ebc1e222a662a32b25c0c9d20169ee
When formatting a cell to Date (any variation) and entering 1/4 for the date it
changes it to a fraction rather than the date. This method of entering a date
has always worked for me in the past. For instance if I enter 1/3 in the cell
that is formatted for Date entry it changes the 1/3 to: Jan 3, 2020.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set Cell format to Date (e.g. Jan x, xxxx)
2. Enter 1/4 in the cell
3. This will show up as 1/4 rather than Jan 4, 2020
Actual Results:
In a date formatted cell:
1/4 shows up as 1/4
Expected Results:
In a date formatted cell:
Jan 4, 2020 (Or any of the other chosen displayed results when setting the
format options)
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
OpenGL enabled: Yes
