Bug ID: 130016
Summary: FILESAVE dialog boxes don't allow keyboard input
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.0.7.3 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: jzwanzig at gmail.com
Description:
When saving a document, the text box to enter a file name fills itself with an
ongoing string of characters. The appearance is similar to what might happen if
a key was held down on the keyboard and was constantly transmitting key
strokes. If a file already exists, things work ok--that is, I can click on the
existing file name, and it will be over-written properly. It's only the text
box for keyboard input that seems to be problematic.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice calc and open a "new file".
2. type some numbers in some cells.
3. select "Save As" and try to enter a file name in the text box.
Actual Results:
Text box fills itself with random characters, flickering at the end of the
string as if it's getting endless input from somewhere.
Expected Results:
No text until I type at the keyboard, and then the text box reflects only the
keys I type.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
OpenGL enabled: Yes
