Sounds odd to me I do reproduce this also with
Version: 6.4.3.2
Build ID: libreoffice-6.4.3.2-snap1
CPU threads: 2; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; 
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

800 sounds more like normal paste ... without tracking changes enabled..
