Bug ID: 133875
Summary: LibreOffice Calc freezes when trying to sort (Wayland)
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.4.3.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: darkmaniels at posteo.net
Description:
I am unable to sort a spreadsheet when logged in to a Wayland session. Works
just fine on an X11 session.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on the upper left corner of a spreadsheet to select all rows
2.Go to Data->Sort->Options to check box for "Range contains column labels"
3.
Actual Results:
Program freezes up and I have to either wait or force close (during the freeze
one of my processors rapidly goes to 100%). Sometimes if I wait long enough it
will un-freeze, but then if I go to Sort Criteria and attempt to choose my sort
key, it freezes again.
Expected Results:
Program should allow me to check the "Range contains column labels" box, choose
my sort key, and sort the table per my instructions.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
On a hunch I logged out and started an X11 session, and the problem does not
happen. Switched back to Wayland and it happened again exactly as described
above.
Version: 6.4.3.2
Build ID: 1:6.4.3-0ubuntu0.20.04.1
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded
