Works fine for me as well.

Nope, the Western font *is* Liberation Serif, *but* the CTL (complex text
layout) font is Lohit D. Maybe Jul could go to Tools - Options - Language
Settings - Languages and see, if there is something fishy in the "Default
Languages for Documents" section.
