That space is the space reserved for expander columns. In the "DocInformation"
page this is used when there are custom properties, the "Custom" node has an
expander which uses that space.

In this specific page, the "Variables" page I don't see a case where the
expander column is used so I think we can remove it for "Variables", but leave
it for "DocInformation"
