Minimized presentation

This is an excerpt of a bigger presentation; it still exhibits the reported
issue for me.

How to reproduce:

 1. Open presentation

 2. Observe how the slides in the slide pane both appear empty (= white only).

 3. Invoke presentation mode

 4. Observe how slides are shown as black only.

Both 2 and 4 probably are manifestations of the same issue.

Regression from 6.4.4.2 which only exhibits issue 4, not issue 2.
