            Bug ID: 131106
Summary: New Paste-Special function from web browser to writer
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: dnpvh at web.de

Often I like to copy parts from websites to writer (or impress).
I found two ways in Libre Office to do it: CTRL+V or Shift+CTRL+V.
Both are not good for me.

What I need:
- Copy the text and pictures from HTML (websites, emails) into writer including
text formats for fonts (size, bold, italic, color, list bullets/numbering).
The result should be an easy readable writer sheet.
- A third option in the paste special menu Shift+CTRL+V, e.g. "formatted text
without HTML".

Application:
Long and interesting professional articles I like to read comfortable in the
evening in the chair rather than on screen. Print it from the browser it gets
(example) 27 pages, where 23 pages are nonsense or advertising. (just a header
on one page and a Facebook gimmick on another page. The proper title of my
article comes on page 4, etc. pp.) Those are 23 pages waste, killing trees,
energy and toner.
My way is: mark the text including pictures and title, copy and paste it to
(Writer or Word), reduce the font size, delete the advertisements from in the
middle, and print it on 3 pages with 2 sheets of paper.
Until now I need to use MS-Word for those application, because that makes it
fine. But I like to go far from MS using Linux and LibreOffice.

This feature request includes copy to writer and impress and includes copy from
Emails (Thunderbird).

---
Thousand thanks to the developer team which makes it possible to use
LibreOffice!!!!!!
I know, my request is a kind of luxery. On the other hand it's a function I
miss very often.

Best regards from Ingo.
