i was mislead when testing, didn't check #102927 which has more detailed
description, autofilter and standardfilter as i normally use work fine, but!: 

there is a text box 'search items' underneath the link to 'Standard Filter' in
the pulldown-box for autofilter, which - imho - hasn't anything to do with
Standard Filter, 

i hadn't used it before, tested it now, while the list of available items is
'not too big' it's shrinking the list to items which contain the string in the
text box, but above some threshold on lines or different items the calc
autofilter is overstrained and  typing anything into this text-box sends calc
to busy, unresponsive, and returns after long delay without any productive
effect ... with very long lists already opening the autofilter-dropdown-box
fails ... 

my system could handle 75.000 rows of the file provided with this bug, col A
copied to col B,C,D and E, but freaks out with 100.000 rows. 

thus: there is a bug,
