There is no need for an external display. The key trigger is in leaving
presentation mode without erasing all ink. Thus steps are:
1. Start an empty presentation;
2. Slide Show -> Slide Show Settings -> Mouse Pointer as Pen
3. Start presentation and draw something on empty silde
4. Exit presentation (ESC key or advancing to the end of presentation both
work); After this step ink will be visible on the preview of slide and it is
permanent.
5. Start slide show
6. Right click and Erase all ink on slide
7. Exit presentation
8. Observe how ink is still shown on the preview of slide and subsequent starts
of presentation always will contain ink no matter how you try to erase it.
