Bug ID: 131601
Summary: Track Changes function keeps turning on
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.3.5.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: dlsmith787 at outlook.com
I posted a bug the other day about the fact that, often, when I am using the
LibreOffice writer, my words start appearing in orange strikethrough lettering.
I can't delete it, either.
A person named Michael wrote that it wasn't a bug but that my Track Changes
feature was on. He wrote that I needed to disable it not just hide it.
WHAT? I did actually go and turn the Track Changes off, but it keeps coming
back on. I'm not pressing Ctrl-Shift-C either.
What does "disable" Track Changes mean versus "hide" Track Changes. I see
neither of those options in the menu.
Why is this? Why does Track Changes keep turning itself back on?
Also, another thing that happens that never happened to me when I used
Microsoft Office is that I find all these errors, extra little words and typos
in my text.
I'm wondering if someone is hacking my software via Libreoffice program. Isn't
this based in Germany? I lived in Germany for almost 5 years in the 1990s, so
I hate to say this, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Germans were behind
this. Or Microsoft people trying to dissuade others from using open source
software.
I struggled with a T-mobile (German firm) issue and then finally replaced my
sim card in my phone with AT&T. Now I have none of those issues.
