            Bug ID: 131607
Summary: Unable to Export as PDF
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 6.0.7.3 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: physicistsarah at gmail.com

Description:
When I try to export as a PDF to the Desktop, I get an error that states:
"Error saving the document Untitled 1:
General Error.
General input/output error."

I'm running Kubuntu 18.04LTS using the apt version of libreoffice (6.0.7.3)
(not any weird PPA). However, I tried using the snap version of libreoffice as
well, and it had the same isssue.

When I run libreoffice from terminal and try to export a PDF, I get this error
on the command line:
(soffice:27574): GLib-GIO-WARNING **: 16:32:09.192: Error creating IO channel
for /proc/self/mountinfo: Permission denied (g-file-error-quark, 2)

And:

LibreOffice(23326): couldn't create slave: "Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol ''.
"
LibreOffice(23326): couldn't create slave: "Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol ''.
"

I've tried purges using apt purge and deleted the ~/.config/libreoffice folder.
I also tried the snap version. Both have the same error.

The file permissions for the Desktop are: drwxr-xr-x 1 sarah sarah 1982 Mar 26
11:51 Desktop/

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start new libreoffice instance from KDE's launcher menu
2. Choose new writer doc
3. Type F to pay respects to PDF writer
4. Choose file -> export as PDF
5. Choose to save to desktop
6. Get error

Actual Results:
I get the error prompt box that says:

Error saving the document Untitled 1:
General Error.
General input/output error.

on the screen and no PDF is created.

Expected Results:
PDF should be made without error

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes
